Championship Tournament / All-Star Game
Championship Tournament
Each year, the top teams from each ABA promoted 5-on-5 tournament will be invited to a championship tournament. The actual number of teams invited from each tournament will depend on the total number of tournaments that took place that season and how many teams participated in each tournament.
The location for the tournament will be St. Louis, MO, and should occur in the Spring after the season has concluded but could occur in the Fall before the next season begins.
Below is a list of policies, procedures and guidelines relating to the Championship Tournament :
- Each team will be allowed to add one player to their original team and the additional player must be a regular attending member of an apostolic church.
- If a team has already earned an invitation to the championship, and qualifies again in another tournament, the next place team in the more recent tournament will earn the invitation.
- The tournament will start on a Friday night and conclude Saturday evening. All teams participating should plan on playing their first game sometime Friday night.
- A team will not be eligible to participate if the tournament at which they qualified does not provide the ABA with a team photo and player roster.
All-Star Game
The All-Star Game will take place late Saturday morning during the championship tournament. The first players invited to play in the All-Star Game will be the MVPs from the individual tournaments.
The ABA, in conjunction with the local tournament hosts when applicable, will select the remaining players (from all tournaments) needed to complete an 8 man roster for each to the two All-Star teams.
